According to some sources in Seattle, April is a month worthy of pledging 30 days of biking, which I was too lazy to sign up to do, but here is a short list of my bike trips this week:
Monday – Biked 1 mile from Montlake to work and 1 mile home. Biked 3.5 miles to my new apartment to pick up the keys, then went around the Mercer Island loop. Got a flat tire at the southern tip and forgot my tire levers. Kicking and screaming curses is not enough to fix a flat. Good friends with tire levers are plenty.
Tuesday – Biked 1 mile from Montlake to work and 1 mile home. Biked the Long Haul Trucker 3.5 miles up to my new place.
Wednesday – Biked 1 mile from Montlake to work and 1 mile home. Biked my beater bike 3.5 miles up to my new apartment after moving most of my stuff.
Thursday – Biked 3.5 miles from Capitol Hill to work and 3.5 miles home. Ended up joining in the antics for the Point83 ride, so down to Westlake, up to Kerry Park, then back down to lower Queen Anne, and home.
Friday – Biked 3.5 miles from Capitol Hill to work and 3.5 miles home.
Saturday – Biked my fast bike 3.5 miles from the old house in Montlake to my new apartment. Biked to 2020 cycles to do Dave’s race, and did the race, including all of the hills which weren’t really required. Biked home from Madrona Eatery & Ale House after celebrating the race.
Sunday – Up to Jefferson park to catch a glimpse of the sunset and back home – just for fun.
